The key element is the design and development of a programmable platform simulator that will replicate the six movements of a boat deck in a variety of sea states in a safe and controlled enviroment on dry land. Its purpose is to introduce high - fidelity training for harbour pilots, ship boarding teams, maintenance personnel transferring from boat decks to ship ladders or offshore wind turbine fixed bases.
The project is in the final stages of development and courseware, operators manuals, and software are also in the final stages of completion.
The product will be marketed globally to training organizations, educational institutions and defence through an undisclosed company at this time.

Research & Manufacture - Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Canada. Built in 2007 the facility is corporate headquarters for Survival Systems Limited. The facility includes a training and testing facility that rocks and rolls with environmental and training aids. The simulator in photo is being tested before heading off to the US Defence.

With three advanced pools and a comprehensive range of environmental and training aids, they provide unmatched training experiences. At the time of its opening, it was recognized one of the most state-of-the-art training facilities in Europe.
Search & Rescue STST - Sydney, Australia
2017 ACE Training Centre is a world-class aviation and aeromedical centre boasting a a full complement of sea survival, enviromental rescue training aids in additional to HUET.

Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Built in 1999 by Rick Bickerton and funded by Department of Energy, Nova Scotia the platform serves to train offshore gas and oil personnel evacuation techniques from a working platform. The platform is fitted with a skyscape (not shown) … a mesh tube/life raft deployed to sea surface… and an enclosed lifeboat attached to a PROD (red ringed pole extending to the right of platform) designed to pull the lifeboat away from oil rig legs in heavy seas.

MTU – Mobile Training Unit. Made from 40- ft containers. The unit was designed to be a portable self-sufficient training centre with generators, pool, filtration, simulator, washrooms, lockers, maintenance areas, etc. Designed for rapid deployment and demob, the unit is ideal for areas of political concern or remote areas. These units have been deployed to Singapore, Mexico and Trinidad.

Nova Scotia, Canada. Built by Rick Bickerton in the late 90’s. The school has various configurations to suit helideck, ship, firefield training in class ABCDE type fires.
